This large island was too long for one slab so we used our special vein joint technique to make the joint go away on this beautiful 20ft island. All of our stone countertops at European Marble & Granite are sealed with dry-treat sealers - however, Marble will still etch, stain, and scratch.

PROJECT NOTES
The countertops have a Richmond custom hand-carved edge detail. The tile backsplashes were cut to a 3 ½ x 10 size for a brick set installation. The range backsplash in Mercury Glass Tile was set in a Herringbone pattern.

Per tradition, Soapstone is sealed with mineral oil to keep the oxidation uniform across the entire surface. This custom backsplash at the range wall continues to the ceiling behind the open shelving. The quartz island acts as the more durable work surface and eating area in the kitchen.

Wanting to design a kitchen that was warm and welcoming, this cozy kitchen is as intimate as it is unique. A Spanish tile backsplash in brown, yellow and cream provide visual texture and warmth. The countertops are fabricated in a clean gray limestone-look quartz, allowing the tile walls to be the centerpiece of this kitchen space.

This unique kitchen is a perfect balance of old world traditional and industrial design. This client used Arabescato Grigio Polished Marble Countertops offer a stunning contrast to the white island cabinetry base and the Kyoto Subway Tile backsplash. The tiles are white glazed brick in a traditional running bond pattern which draws attention to the perimeter countertops.
